CBA President: We have healthy, sustainable financial system
“We have a healthy, sustainable, efficiently controlled financial system. According to the Global Competitiveness Report 2010-2011, Armenia’s banking system ranks among leaders in sustainability in the region,” CBA President Arthur Javadyan stated at the Pan-Armenian Forum of Financiers and Bankers in Yerevan.
According to Javadyan, CBA policy aimed at establishment of new institutions and instruments in the financial market. He singled out CBA activities towards mortgage market development and establishment of National Mortgage Company. Banking system is the most developed component of financial market. CBA latest activities sought to establish insurance and securities markets. CBA also plans to develop medical insurance system.
A. Javadyan stated that they also plan to establish Pan-Armenian Bank.
