Trainings of the "Cooperation-2010" of CSTO are to launch
Today, in the military base of Chebarkulsk in Chelyabinsk region of Russia kick off the CSTO military exercises of "Cooperation-2010". 1,700 soldiers from Armenia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, observers from Belarus take part in the exercises as well as 270 units of military equipment. “Ria Novosti” has been informed by the press secretary of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
On opening ceremony of the military exercises the CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha will participate. Тhe commander is the Deputy Commander of Russia's Military Landing Forces, Major-General Alexander Lentsov.
The main subject of the exercises is the localization of the armed conflict in the Collective Security region.
The trainings will go on till October 28.
