Commandos stands for recognition of NKR independence
Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan (Commandos), military leader of the Armenian forces during the Nagorno Karabakh war, stands for recognition of Nagorno Karabakh independence. According to him, then Greece, Lebanon and Syria may follow Armenia’s example and recognize NKR.
“We want to recognize Nagorno Karabakh but NKR should have its borders. The point is what borders are implied. Artsakh proclaimed independence on December 10, 1991. And we know Artsakh with its borders established in 1991. A truce agreement was signed in 1994. What borders are spoken about, what concessions are prepared? As a military I accept and recognize Artsakh with its borders existing in 1994 and cannot imagine Artsakh without Karvachar and Lachin,” Ter Tadevosyan said adding that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict should be resolved within OSCE Minsk Group.
