Yerevan hosts first Armenia-UAE business forum
First Armenia-UAE business forum kicked off today in Yerevan. Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attends the forum. It has been organized by the Armenian Development Agency (ADA). Yerevan is hosting a 40-member delegation of UAE businessmen led by UAE Minister of Foreign Trade HE Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi.
“Presently, Armenia-UAE political relations are high level and this forum aims at revealing economic potential of the two countries,” Prime Minister stated addressing the forum.
According to T. Sargsyan, the business forum will give Arab businessmen a possibility to study Armenia’s possibilities for making investments in Armenian economy. He stressed that we prioritize spheres of information technologies, nuclear physics, nuclear medicine, tourism, production of building materials, agricultural products.
The Prime Minister said that the parties have agreed to periodically hold similar forums saying that the next forum is scheduled to be held in UAE.
During the forum, Armenia’s Ministry of Economy and UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade signed a Memorandum of Mutual Understanding.
