Azerbaijan presents itself to world through Aliyev monuments
Holding a festival of Azerbaijani films in Armenia can be viewed from two aspects – moral and cultural, member of the RPA parliamentary faction Karine Achemyan told reporters in Yerevan.
Note that a festival of Azerbaijani films was due in Yerevan Friday, November 12, organized by George Vanyan, head of the Caucasus Center of Peace-Making Initiatives, but it did not take place. The idea of holding the festival triggered protests in Armenian society.
According to Achemyan, presently, under constant violations of ceasefire regime by the enemy, with Azerbaijani President making bellicose statements, holding the festival is romance which is undue.
The parliamentarian said that festival is not a way of cultural dialogue; the countries should conduct dialogue in political and diplomatic fields.
“Azerbaijan has no cultural heritage and presents itself to the world through Aliyev monuments or by misappropriating cultural values of other countries,” she said adding that these films can also be anti-Armenian.
