Kyrgyzstan’s Ex-President to be sued in his absence
Bishkek Military Court today launches investigation of the criminal case on the events that occurred on April 7 in the capital city.
The court sitting will be open, Interfax said citing Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan.
There are 28 defendants on the case; 6 out of them are away and are wanted. They will be sued in their absence.
Kyrgyzstan’s Ex-President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, his younger brother Janibek Bakiyev, elder son Marat Bakiyev, former Head of Special Service Murat Sutalinov are among the defendants.
Representatives of the Alfa special unit will be also sued.
They are accused of abuse of their official position and killing more than two people.
