“Sargsyan-Medvedev meeting came to continue Astrakhan meeting”
Sargsyan-Medvedev meeting held Wednesday, November 17 in Moscow came as a continuation of the tripartite meeting of the Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents hosted by Astrakhan, political scientist Sergey Minasyan told reporters in Yerevan.
According to the expert, Astrakhan meeting aimed to prepare ground for the OSCE Summit due in Astana.
“Presidential meetings, be they Sargsyan-Medvedev, Aliyev-Ahmadinejad or Medvedev-Aliyev meetings, cannot lead to breakthrough in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict; similar meetings mostly aim to clarify the schedule, to introduce corrections to Presidents’ policy,” Minasyan said.
