NATO summit agrees on creation of joint missile defense
NATO summit hosted by Lisbon, Portugal, passed a resolution to create joint missile defense to defend all NATO states, U.S. President Barack Obama said.
NATO is expected to apply to Russia urging to join missile defense, BBC reported.
Besides, NATO new strategy for 10 years stipulates that NATO does not pose danger for Russia. The strategy was endorsed by 28 member states of NATO Friday, November 19.
Russia-NATO and EU-U.S. summits are due in Lisbon today.
Note that Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan are today leaving for Portugal.
