Macbeth: Germany among Armenia’s key business partners
A seminar on economic competition coverage kicked off today in Tsakhkadzor. The seminar is organized by the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) and GTZ. The event was attended by SCPEC Chairman Artak Shaboyan, SCPEC members, GTZ Regional Director James Macbeth, international experts.
Artak Shaboyan said the seminar aims to strengthen ties between the commission and society. According to him, Armenian society’s awareness of economic competition is low.
“The field faces many problems, and the commission needs society’s support to resolve them,” Shaboyan said calling on citizens to cooperate with the commission.
According to GTZ Regional Director James Macbeth, Germany pays special attention to Armenia and SCPEC activities, first of all because Germany is among Armenia’s key business partners.
“Armenia exports more goods to Germany than to Russia.”
The two-day seminar will address global economic competition problems and ways to overcome them.
