People’s Assembly to set up disobedience committees in Georgia
Representatives of People’s Assembly of Georgia on November 26 again gathered near the parliament building. The meeting was less crowded than the day before, yet participants of the action demanded resolute steps.
They blocked traffic in Rustaveli Avenue, some of them moved towards the Public Broadcasting Building, led by Eka Beselia, leader of the public movement Solidarity to Illegal Prisoners, to demand TV air.
After negotiating Eka Beselia told demonstrators she reached an agreement on live broadcast over the Public Broadcasting company.
Representative of People’s Assembly, actor Gia Burjanadze told reporters that demonstrators on November 25 made a decision to set up disobedience committees in Georgian regions.
The demonstrators put up tents in front of the parliament building to recruit people into the committee, Caucasian Knot reports citing Novosti-Gruzia.
