Turkey tries to hinder Armenia-Diaspora unity
Turkey deadlocking the Armenian-Turkish rapprochement endangers its international authority, meanwhile it takes imitation steps to make an impression that it stays loyal to its commitments over Armenian-Turkish normalization process, Turkologist Ruben Melkonyan told reporters in Yerevan.
“Presently, Armenia-Turley relations are described as “silent diplomacy” which enables Turkey to manoeuvre,” expert said adding that “silent diplomacy” will go on until Turkey’s parliamentary elections.
According to Melkonyan, to secure its imitation steps, Turkey carries out propaganda, for instance, it removed Armenia from the list of the most dangerous countries.
Turkey’s next step is its attempt to hinder Armenia-Diaspora unity, Melkonyan said.
“Presently, Turkey’s foreign policy dictate is to separate Armenia from Diaspora.”
