R. Zohrabyan: Right of self-determination also a goal

“It is the first time that such a statement is based on United Nations Regulations which exactly say that the right of self-determination in difference to territorial integrity is not merely a principle but also a goal. Thus, principles should serve for implementation of goals, and, for sure, the goal is a priority,” member of the National Assembly of Armenia, Deputy Chairman of RPA, Razmik Zohrabyan told Aysor.am commenting upon the statement on Nagorno Karabakh adopted at OSCE summit today.

Note that the statement, particularly, said: “The Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan reaffirmed their commitment to seek a final settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, based upon: the principles and norms of international law; the United Nations Charter; the Helsinki Final Act; as well as the statements of Presidents Medvedev, Sarkozy, and Obama, in L'Aquila on July 10, 2009, and in Muskoka on June 26, 2010.”
