Clinton apologizes for diplomatic cables leaked to WikiLeaks
A new scandal occurred as the whistleblower site WikiLeaks has published some diplomatic cables that reveal private discussions about global crisis and assessments about foreign leaders.
For that reason, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offered some sort of apology for this incident, in the first public reaction since 250,000 cables were published.
Clinton said that publishing the cables is not only an attack on American foreign interests, but an attack on the broader international community.
The State Secretary said she was not going to confirm or comment on the idea of stolen documents released to the press, but only apologized for the fact that this disclosure should never have happened and the documents should have remained confidential.
Clinton assured any country that may be affected by the leak that America remains committed to its promises and its good intention, RBK. ru reports.
