Aliyev received first-ever adequate response – expert
During OSCE Astana summit, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received first-ever adequate response, political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan said commenting upon the pentalateral statement adopted in Astana.
According to the expert, Aliyev’s bellicose statements, threats were rather directed at Europe, that is why Europe tried to please Azerbaijan.
“However, Armenia is also able to give an adequate response to Azerbaijan, therefore Europe should have also pleased Armenia,” Melik-Shahnazaryan said.
“On December 1, Aliyev was already offended with Europe. Aliyev was forced to sign the statement which was not beneficial for Azerbaijan since the statement addressed recognition of NKR independence. Aliyev’s angry speech testified to it. And Armenian President’s speech was an adequate response to Aliyev,” expert concluded.
