Bako Sahakyan receives Armenian and Diaspora writers

President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan on December 9 received member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia Artem Harutyunyan, writers from Diaspora Peters Souryan and Aram Arkun.

Cooperation between Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora in the field of literature was discussed during the meeting.

Bako Sahakyan underlined that literature is among the pivotal fields of pan-Armenian integration processes that to a great extent contribute to the patriotic upbringing of the younger generation and preservation of the Armenian national identity.

Bako Sahakyan noted that it is important to combine the efforts of the state and the public sector for the development of a common pan-Armenian literary space.

Artsakh Republic Minister of Education and Science Vladik Khachatryan and Head of the Artsakh Union of Writers Vardan Hakobyan were also present at the meeting, as reported by Artsakh President’s press office.
