2010 final round of Geneva talks on Trans-Caucasus starts
The 2010 final round of Geneva talks on stability and security in the Trans-Caucasus region launches today in Geneva.
Russia’s delegation is led by State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin, Georgia’s delegation by Secretary of the National Security Council Giga Bokeria.
Geneva talks have been held since 2008 October by agreement between Russia and France after the 2008 South Ossetia events. Geneva discussions host Abkhazia, Georgia, Russia, U.S., South Ossetia, as well as representatives of EU, UN, OSCE, RIA Novosti reports.
Previously, Geneva talks adopted a document on mechanisms preventing and settling incidents in Georgia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
The previous, 13th Geneva talks took place on October 14.
