Artak Zakaryan: Azerbaijan reaches deadlock
Over the past year, Armenia’s President exerted much effort towards settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, member of the RPA parliamentary faction Artak Zakaryan told a news conference in Yerevan. He stressed that over the past year we had three important events – Muskoka, Astrakhan and Astana stipulating necessity to use three equal principles.
According to the parliamentarian, Azerbaijan’s diversions and incidents on the line of contact cannot affect positions of Armenia and international organizations on peaceful negotiated resolution of the conflict.
“Azerbaijan should either agree to freezing the conflict or launch military operations. Neither way is beneficial to Azerbaijan. Thus, Azerbaijan is reaching a deadlock,” Zakaryan said.
He stressed that Azerbaijan’s political elite should understand that NKR has never been part of Azerbaijan, and future generations in Azerbaijan should treat NKR as their neighboring state.
