S. Nikoyan: CC rule put end to controversy
Armenian parliament Vice Speaker Samvel Nikoyan summing up Armenia’s foreign policy at a news conference in Yerevan said that year 2010 was eventful.
Firstly he touched upon the Armenian-Turkish Protocols. According to him, the Constitutional Court of Armenia rule put an end to the controversies over the Protocols. Turkey’s attitude to the CC rule was negative while mediator countries accepted the rule normally. Nikoyan added that Serzh Sargsyan suspended the ratification of the Protocols, with Turkey constantly putting forward preconditions.
“Turkey is repeating that the Armenian-Turkish talks continue, trying to improve international community’s attitude to the country,” Nikoyan said.
President Serzh Sargsyan has always been sincere with his people in the Armenian-Turkish process, Nikoyan stressed.
