Uefa president Michel Platini to be re-elected unopposed
Michel Platini will be re-elected unopposed for another four years as Uefa president in March, after no other candidate put their name forward before last night's midnight deadline, BBC reports.
Platini, the former France captain and coach, became president in 2007 after beating Sweden's Lennart Johansson in a hard-fought election contest. Since then he has overseen some far-reaching changes in European club and international football.
