Minasyan: Armenia will have serious economic progress in 2011

Year 2010 was remarkable for Armenia since economic fall was stopped; the budget envisaged 1.2 percent growth for 2010, while we already have 2.6 percent growth in the 11 months of 2010, member of the RPA parliamentary faction Mkrtich Minasyan told reporters in Yerevan.

According to the parliamentarian, the situation has been stabilized this year, so we have a possibility to ensure economic growth and to solve our social problems in the coming year.

He described year 2009 as a year of socio-economic and financial crisis and 2010 as a period of stabilization. In his words, Armenia will have serious economic progress in 2011.

“Our President pays special attention to the social sector, that is why social sector allocations did not decrease but even increased in these hard economic times,” Minasyan said.
