First Armenian world voyage continues
The Armenia vessel continues the first Armenian world voyage. Now it is heading to Santiago de Chile.
The Armenia vessel started its world voyage from the Spanish Port of Valencia on May 28, 2009. The vessel is visiting any place in the world inhabited even if with one Armenian.
The Mesrop Mashtots expedition, including the sailors of the Kilikia vessel, successfully implements its mission. During the voyage, the Armenian sailors have already crossed the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, Cape Horn. There is a cross-stone in memory of victims of all times on Horn Island. Armenia is now heading to Santiago de Chile.
Head of the first Armenian world expedition, writer, publicist Zori Balayan said that they are going to cross the entire Pacific Ocean, reach New Zealand, Australia and then to visit Singapore through the Indian Ocean.
“An Armenian church dating back to 1895, experiencing beautiful historical moments, stands here. We will travel to India, we will enter the Mediterranean Sea through the Red Sea and then we can say we have made the first-ever Armenian world voyage,” he said.
