EU condemns Khodorkovsky’s conviction
Major Western countries have jointly condemned the recent conviction of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev, assuming it was politically motivated, the Kommersant daily reads, according to the FOCUS news agency.
The EU leadership made it clear that without an independent judicial system Russia cannot rely on strategic partnership with the European Union and cooperation in the frames of the 'Partnership for Modernization' program.
