Raymonds Pauls celebrates his 75th anniversary
Well-known Soviet, Latvian composer Raymonds Pauls today celebrates its 75th anniversary, of which 70 years he has spent in front of the piano. Pauls is tended to celebrate his two jubilees with his family, and then will again return to his work. Maestro is currently very busy, he is going to a festive concert in Riga, Vesti. ru reports.
Latvian and Soviet composer and piano player who is well-known and respected in Latvia and the former Soviet Union, Raimonds Pauls was born on 12 January, 1936 in Iļģuciems, Riga. Pauls’ songs have sung such famous artists as Aija Kukule, Victor Lapchyonok, Nora Bumbiere, Oyars Grinberg and Margarita Viltsane, Miridza Zivere, Larisa Mondrusa, Alla Pugachova, Sofia Rotaru, Rosa Rimbaeva, Laima Vaikule, Olga Pīrāga, Nikolajs Gnatjuks, Yaak Iyola, Andrei Mironov, Valery Leontev, Tatiana Bulanova, Valentina Legkostupova, “Kredo” group, Children's Ensemble “Kukushechka”.
