Armenia's economy ranked “moderately free”
The Heritage Foundation and Wall Street Journal published economic freedom indices. Armenia ranks 36th with 69.7 points. 183 countries have been monitored, ARKA news agency said.
Armenia’s economy was ranked “moderately free.” This group includes Slovakia, Israel, Iceland, Hungary, Latvia, France, Slovenia, Turkey, Portugal, Italy which take lower positions than Armenia.
Azerbaijan, the 92nd country on the economic freedom list, was ranked “in general not free country.”
Georgia having 70.4 points took the highest, 29th place among the regional countries.
Russia ranks 143rd.
Hong Kong ranks first in global economic freedom index. Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, Denmark, U.S., Bahrain are in the first ten.
