Obama, Saakashvili discuss situation in Caucasus
U.S. and Georgian Presidents Barack Obama and Mikheil Saakashvili met Friday, January 14. During the meeting, they discussed Georgia’s economic development, situation in the Caucasus and Georgian-American cooperation in Afghanistan, RIA Novosti reports citing a White House report.
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden was also present at the meeting.
Barack Obama thanked Saakashvili for attending an event to commemorate American diplomat Richard Holbrooke and awarding Holbrooke.
Note that the Georgian President awarded Victory Order to Richard Holbrooke.
