Arzumanyan: Bluff called “football diplomacy” over
The “football diplomacy” finished in April 2010 after the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation process was suspended, Armenia’s former Foreign Minister, member of the Armenian National Congress Alexander Arzumanyan told a news conference in Yerevan.
A. Arzumanyan stands for normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations but he negatively treats the protocols. In his words, the Armenian-Turkish protocols have been elaborated and “written in Washington.”
“I think the bluff called “football diplomacy” is over,” he said.
In Arzumanyan’s opinion, it is time for the heads of the two states to sit at the negotiating table and start the normalization process from zero point.
