M. Grigoryan: Azerbaijan’s propaganda reaches absurdity
Azerbaijan’s Propaganda Machine represents January 20 as Kremlin’s attempt to suppress Azerbaijan’s movement, Marina Grigoryan, head of the “Ordinary Genocide” project, told a news conference in Yerevan adding that Armenia has been taking serious steps over the past years to counteract Azerbaijan’s propaganda.
“Azerbaijan’s propaganda reaches absurdity. We should be active,” M. Grigoryan said.
In her words, as early as in the 1990s the international community, in particular, The New York Times gave an assessment to the events – “Azerbaijan’s fight included bloody slaughters against Armenians.”
In return, information security expert Samvel Martirosyan reported that Azerbaijan’s State Propaganda says that allegedly the Armenians killed each others, first in Sumgait, then in Baku, to be able to separate Karabakh from Azerbaijan.
According to S. Martirosyan, Azerbaijan’s propaganda gradually becomes stronger and influential; Azerbaijan controls media in the country which “whitens the pogrom-makers.”
