G. Baghdasaryan: We need to strengthen Karabakh factor

The two Armenian states do nothing to achieve international recognition of NKR, former member of NKR parliament, editor-in-chief of the Stepanakert-based Analitikon magazine, expert Gegham Baghdasaryan told reporters in Yerevan.

The expert praised the bill on recognition of NKR introduced by the Heritage faction at the Armenian parliament, however, in his words, acceptance of the Karabakh factor is much more important.

“Before recognition of NKR, the Armenian community should contribute to recognition of the Karabakh factor, Karabakh’s voice should be heard in the all-Armenian space, not only in the NK issue.”

Meanwhile he expressed an opinion that Sudan, with the consent of all sides to hold a referendum, cannot be a precedent for Nagorno Karabakh.

“Kosovo can rather be a precedent,” he stressed.
