G. Minasyan sees NK settlement within OSCE MG only

Gagik Minasyan, member of the RPA parliamentary faction, at a press conference commented upon Turkey-Azerbaijan tandem’s attempts to move the Nagorno Karabakh settlement to other international instances. He said that Ankara, in the person of Turkey’s official representatives to PACE, particularly, President Abdullah Gul, continues to speak the language of preconditions.

Minasyan ruled out the possibility of moving the Nagorno Karabakh issue to some other international instance noting that OSCE Minsk Group justifies all expectations.

“OSCE Minsk Group is empowered to resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. No other format can have a direct or indirect impact on the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process since Minsk Group has unique mechanisms,” parliamentarian stated.

He thinks the Armenian side should increase its achievements in the Minsk Group meanwhile trying to represent problem’s essence to international instances.
