Moscow mourns Domodedovo blast victims

Moscow authorities have announced that Wednesday will be a day of mourning for victims of a deadly terrorist attack at the capital's Domodedovo Airport, a spokesperson for the mayor said.

At least 35 people were killed and 180 injured in a suicide attack at the airport's arrivals gate on Monday.

Over 100 people have been hospitalized, and four of them remain in a critical condition. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bombing.

"In memory of the January 24 terrorist attack victims at Domodedovo Airport, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced a day of mourning in Moscow on January 26," the spokesperson said.

Flags will fly at half-mast in Moscow and in adjoining regions. Entertainment programs will be dropped from TV and radio schedules and concerts will be postponed.

Relatives have identified the bodies of 16 victims so far. The identification process is expected to take up to 2 days.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev pledged assistance to the families of the dead and those injured in the attack, RIA Novosti reported.
