Turkish FM to visit Georgia
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will pay an official visit to Georgia on Feb.11-12, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania said.
According to him, Davutoglu will hold meetings in Batumi and Tbilisi. He will meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze.
Jalagania noted that within the visit it is not planned to conclude a memorandum on cultural monuments between the two countries. "During the meeting, perhaps, these issues will be discussed," he said.
An agreement between the two countries, which envisages the restoration of four Georgian Medieval churches in Turkey, in exchange for the construction of four mosques in Georgia, caused great excitement in Georgia, Trend reports.
