Baku not interested in real settlement of NK conflict

Azerbaijan is interested in moving the Nagorno Karabakh settlement to other formats rather than in keeping the process within the current format, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated, commenting upon the resumption of the activities of PACE subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh.

“Azerbaijan seeks to find a solution to the conflict not with the help of OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs. Azerbaijan just tries to take out its domestic propaganda to the foreign arena,” Nalbandian told a joint press conference with Ukrainian FM Konstantin Grishchenko.

According to E. Nalbandian, Baku tries to make a bit of a noise about the conflict rather than attends to its real settlement.

Touching upon the activities of PACE subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh Nalbandian said that “previously, this structure was not so efficient in terms of advancing the negotiation process.” Armenia’s position is reflected by the statements of Armenian parliamentarians, Nalbandian stressed.
