Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict hinders Saakashvili’s dream
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu discussed regional cooperation on security and economic issues during their meeting in Tbilisi. The meeting was held behind closed doors, rosbalt.ru reports.
Saakashvili and Davutoglu touched upon bilateral relations, development of integration processes in the Transcaucasus including both economic and security issues.
“A united Caucasus is my old dream. And regional leaders, including those of Azerbaijan and Armenia, agree to my aspirations,” Saakashvili said.
Meanwhile, according to Georgia’s President, Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict is among the problems hindering realization of this idea.
