Washington to host discussion on Karabakh
The Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, GMU, Washington on February 17 will host a discussion on the history of Nagorno Karabakh Republic, causes of conflict with Azerbaijan, current phase of negotiations and possibilities of establishing a stable peace in the future.
According to the NKR Office in Washington, Azerbaijan’s Embassy in U.S. together with pro-Azerbaijani organizations on February 16 attempted to hinder organization of the event, also by pressing the leadership of the Institute. Nevertheless, the NKR Office in Washington introduced documents testifying to legality of their status and activities, and the issue was settled.
Permanent Representative of NKR in Washington, Ambassador Robert Avetisyan will give a big speech during the open event.
