U.S. Special Representative to Muslim Communities to visit Baku
The U.S. Special Representative to Muslim Communities Farah Pandith and Special Envoy to Combat and Monitor Anti-Semitism Hannah Rosenthal will travel to Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Spain from March 10-17, Trend reported citing the State Department.
In Azerbaijan, they will meet with civil society and youth leaders and promote their “2011 Hours Against Hate” campaign, which is focused on ending hatred and bigotry and encourages people to pledge hours of volunteer service, report said.
According to report, the Special Representative and the Special Envoy will meet and engage with young people, government officials, and community leaders on interfaith dialogue and tolerance in Turkey.
Also they will also promote the campaign and meet with civil society groups and interfaith organizations in Spain.
In each country they will also visit sites of historical importance that illustrate religious and cultural pluralism and respect among people of all faiths.
