Levon Aronian stays in lead
Levon Aronian drew blindfold game with Vassily Ivanchuk and beat him in rapid game in Round 4 at Amber Rapid and Blindfold Chess Tournament in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Scoring 3 points in blindfold games the Armenian chess player shares the 1st-2nd places with Alexander Grischuk. In rapid games, Aronian has scored 3 points and shares the 2nd-4th places with Viswanathan Anand and Veselin Topalov.
So, Aronian has scored 6 points and stays in the lead with combined results. Carlsen comes next with 6 points. Anand comes third with 5.5 points.
March 16 is a rest day in the tournament. Levon Aronian will play with Azerbaijan’s Vugar Gashimov on March 17.
