Azerbaijan’s accusations are false – S. Sargsyan
Azerbaijan’s accusation of Armenian side’s killing a nine-year-old boy is false, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said during a meeting with the Co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group.
“S. Sargsyan said that this accusation is slanderous since actions against civil population, especially a child, do not fit into the moral image of the Armenian soldier. This accusation is more than unfounded since the incident is purely technically impossible in the mentioned area,” President’s press office said.
During the meeting, the sides touched upon “Azerbaijan’s constant provocations, including the killing of the Armenian soldier and Azerbaijan’s destructive statements.”
The President also confirmed the readiness of the Armenian side to continue the negotiations in line with the agreements reached in Sochi on March 5.
“It was noted that after the meeting the Armenian side took consistent steps to inform the public of the agreements already reached and to create an atmosphere of mutual confidence between the sides,” the presidential press office reported.
The interlocutors also discussed further steps on the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
