Medvedev extends condolences to Gurchenko family
President Dmitry Medvedev expressed deep condolences to the family of renowned Soviet and Russian actress Lyudmila Gurchenko who died in Moscow at the age of 75 on Wednesday, March 30, ITAR-TASS reports.
“I was deeply saddened by the news of the passing of outstanding actress Lyudmila Markovna Gurchenko,” Medvedev wrote in his telegram. “Her passing is an irreplaceable loss for national culture.”
“Lyudmila Gurchenko was a truly people’s actress, loved by many people in our country. Her charisma, bright and multifaceted talent and mastery allowed her to create unforgettable characters in films and theatre productions,” the head of state said.
“Lyudmila Gurchenko is no longer with us, but her good roles and cherished memory live on,” he said.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin also offered sympathies to the actress family.
