Border crossing procedure to be facilitated
The National Security Council of Armenia jointly with the EU-funded Integrated Border Management in the South Caucasus project specified the events for 2011, key goals, problems and achievements.
Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia, Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that the program will reduce all corruption risks to zero, will simplify the border crossing procedure, border crossing points will be built in line with European standards, single window system will be put into operation.
“On the sidelines of the program, an agreement will be signed with Georgia that will be an excellent example of economic and regional cooperation,” according to A. Baghdasaryan.
“We have signed with the Georgian Ministry of Finance an agreement on joint operation of border crossing points to facilitate business functions,” Gagik Khachatryan, Chairman of the Armenian State Revenue Committee said.
The program’s budget amounts to 1403000 euros.
