Armenia, Georgia to reinforce cooperation in sport
Armenian Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Artur Petrosyan received Georgian Ambassador to Armenia Tengiz Sharmanashvili.
The Minister noted that his working visit to Georgia a couple of months ago focused on the problems faced by the sports and youth sectors in both countries and prospects for cooperation in these sectors. Georgian Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Vladimir Vardzelashvili is expected to pay a return visit to Armenia in 2011.
Ambassador Tengiz Sharmanashvili pledged to assist implementation of sport and youth projects and to introduce new projects during their next meeting.
Artur Petrosyan stressed the importance of developing and expanding cooperation in the field of sport and youth, based on the respective agreements between Armenia and Georgia, Ministry press office reported.
