Li Changchun: It was a pleasure tasting Ararat Brandy
Armenia’s economy rehabilitates after the global financial and economic crisis, with positive tendencies in economic development and improvement of the investment environment, member of the Standing Committee of Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Li Changchun said addressing the Armenian-Chinese business forum.
“Our business cooperation has good tendencies. China is the second largest trading partner of Armenia, and there is a vast field to develop the Armenian-Chinese relations,” Li Changchun noted.
According to the head of the Chinese delegation, the trade turnover between Armenia and China increased in 2010, but it is not yet sufficient.
China seeks to increase imports from Armenia, the official noted.
“Yesterday I attended a reception organized by the Armenian President, and it was a pleasure tasting Ararat Armenian Brandy that I had never tasted before,” Changchun said adding that the Brandy is not sold in China, and the Armenian companies must visit China to advertise the Armenian Brandy. He said he had also tasted Armenian grapes which are not sold in China, either.
“So, we have a great potential in the agricultural sector,” Changchun said.
He stressed the necessity of increasing direct investments.
