Azerbaijan keeps hindering conflict resolution
On April 12, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan received the Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Robert Bradtke of U.S., Igor Popov of Russia, Bernard Fassier of France and officials accompanying them.
The meeting focused on issues related to the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict settlement and regional developments.
Bako Sahakyan noted that disregarding peaceful efforts of the mediators Azerbaijan continues to pursue a policy, which hinders both the conflict resolution process and in general the formation of mutual trust atmosphere among the parties. It includes the ceasefire regime violation along the contact line, distortion of different events and intentional politicization of humanitarian issues. Among the latter, the President considered continuous speculations going on in Azerbaijan around the field assessment mission carried out by the co-Chairs and the reopening of Stepanakert Airport.
Artsakh Republic Foreign Minister Georgy Petrosyan, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk and other officials were present at the meeting, Artsakh President’s press office said.
