Bako Sahakyan stresses importance of IT development

On April 30, Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan called a working consultation to discuss development of information and telecommunication technologies in the republic.

The meeting addressed the issue of establishing information technology center in Artsakh.

Bako Sahakyan stressed the importance of developing IT sector underlining that it has both political and economic significance for Artsakh. The President also noted that to secure desirable results it is necessary to establish cooperation with the respective circles of Armenia and the Diaspora. In this context Bako Sahakyan appreciated the efforts of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, Enterprise Incubator Foundation, the Union of Information Technology Enterprises of Armenia and a number of other organizations, whose representatives were present at the consultation.

NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan and other officials attended the consultation, Artsakh President’s press office reported.
