Parliamentarian: OSCE MG should restrain Azerbaijan’s violence
Member of Armenian parliament and of RPA Board Artak Zakaryan issued a statement on the killings of NKR Defense Army soldiers by the Azerbaijani snipers.
The statement said: “I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the soldiers. I feel revenge every time when I hear that soldiers of the NKR Defense Army and Armenian Armed Forces are killed in Azerbaijan’s diversions or by enemy’s snipers. There are no words to relieve the pain of the families of our perished soldiers, who defend our borders under peaceful conditions, and the pain of all of us. It is not the first time Armenian soldiers are killed as Azerbaijan violates ceasefire.
Azerbaijan’s continuous violence mocks the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs.
In fact, Azerbaijan shows disrespect for the Presidents of Russia, United States and France, Azerbaijan doesn’t care for the international community’s calls for the withdrawal of snipers, it doesn’t care for the calls from all sides to resolve the conflict through peaceful means.
The energy interests of the modern world, impunity and encouragement of Turkey perpetrating genocide push Azerbaijani gangs for further crimes.
So, Azerbaijan makes encroachment against the civilized world, violates democratic values, defiles high universal values – freedom and vital rights.
I believe we must give an adequate response to Azerbaijan. Christian values cannot retreat under hireling assassin’s sniper fire. The civilized humanity must respond to this tragedy.
The efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs towards peaceful settlement of the conflict need a universal support.
I think the OSCE Minsk Group must intensify its efforts and authorities to restrain Azerbaijan’s violence, otherwise such incidents may cause chaos in the region, with Baku’s energy interests suffering the most damage.”
