International conference organized by Synergy International
Synergy International Systems Inc. (“Synergy”) informs that is proud to host the 2011 Development Assistance Database (DAD) Community of Practice (CoP) in its Global Learning Center in Yerevan, Armenia. This biannual event is an international forum of professionals who are working towards results-based public sector management through Synergy’s software solutions.
According to the source, this year’s conference, which will take place from June 20-24, brings together government officials, donor and NGO representatives, and development professionals from various countries, including Afghanistan, Cameroon, Iraq, Kenya, Lesotho, Mauritania, Moldova, Mozambique, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Sudan, Tajikistan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
This year’s conference will focus on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of public sector development projects—an increasingly prescient topic given the broader realities of international development today: global financial austerity, tightened foreign aid budgets, and greater expectations for government accountability and effectiveness.
The conference will consist of a three-day workshop where participants will share their experiences in implementing Synergy’s M&E software solutions, followed by a two-day training by Synergy’s experts on M&E concepts, approaches, and systems.
