Georgian population supports joining EU, NATO
The majority of Georgia’s residents support joining NATO and EU. According to the survey of the Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research organization, 81 percent of respondents, Georgian residents, speak out for joining NATO, 12 percent are against, 7 percent have refused to answer the question. 86 percent of respondents support joining EU, 5 percent oppose it.
The survey was held from June 6 to 7, 2011 among 1200 people.
The survey figures indicating support to EU and NATO membership have increased by 78 percent and 75 percent, respectively, compared to previous surveys.
