Negotiating format changes shouldn’t be anticipated
Nothing special happened in Kazan, because it wasn’t planned, Alexander Iskandaryan, political expert, director of Caucasus Institute, said in a news conference making his remarks over Kazan-hosted presidential summit. Mr. Iskandaryan added any advancement in NK conflict shouldn’t be anticipated even in the future.
“Negotiating format changes shouldn’t be either anticipated. OSCE Minsk Group implements its duties normally,” expert said adding EU determines to enter a field where it will be possible to adopt active role in the resolution of NK conflict. The EU, according to A. Iskandaryan, cannot replace Minsk Group: “Those are simple talks which express Azerbaijan’s dissatisfaction from the Minsk Group.”
Expert says he doesn’t think Minsk Group has understood after Kazan meeting that without the participation of Nagorno-Karabakh issue cannot be resolved, A. Iskandaryan say they’ve understood it earlier. “It’s a fact that NK must joint the negotiations. Yerevan has always represented Nagorno-Karabakh and nothing is changed after Kazan.”
