Obama, Medvedev discuss Nagorno-Karabakh issue
The Presidents of Russia and United States, Dmitry Medvedev and Barack Obama had a phone conversation on Monday. In addition to other issues, the Presidents also discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.
As the heads of states that co-chair the OSCE Minsk Group, Medvedev and Obama exchanged views on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement. The American President praised the efforts of the Russian leader in this direction, particularly during a recent meeting with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Kazan, Russian President’s press service said.
The two sides expressed their intention to continue coordinated steps to assist Baku and Yerevan find a peaceful solution to the problem.
