Bako Sahakyan’s address on Artsakh Cup Volleyball Tournament

On 14 July President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan sent an address to the participants of the Artsakh Cup Volleyball Tournament that started in Stepanakert on the same day, Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President reports.

The address particularly reads:

Dear participants of the Artsakh Cup Volleyball Tournament,

I cordially welcome and congratulate you on the launching of the first Artsakh Cup Volleyball Tournament.

This event has a great significance for our republic as sport is among the best means of upbringing the younger generation and preserving the national gene pool. For this very reason particular importance is given to the development of sports and physical culture in our republic. Within this context close cooperation with the Defense Army is of special significance. It is not casual that the deputy defense minister heads the volleyball federation in our country.

Dear sportsmen,

I hope that you will favor everybody with a beautiful game. I want to underline that such contests assist to the development of physical and mental abilities of the people, strengthening the unity and cohesion of different segments of the Armenian people. In this case there could be no losers.
