Nalbandian: Azerbaijan seeks to fail negotiations
Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, commenting upon the statement by his Azerbaijani counterpart that it's no use wasting time coordinating the basic principles, and a peace agreement must be worked out instead, noted that this is the old refrain of the old Azerbaijani song.
“The Co-chairs have already expressed their opinion on the idea the Azerbaijani government has been repeating for two years, that is to say, if Azerbaijan fails to agree on the basic principles, how can it talk about working out a peace agreement?” Nalbandian said, while addressing a meeting at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London.
According to the Armenian FM, thus Azerbaijan seeks to get rid of the basic principles proposed by the Co-chairs and in fact to fail the negotiation process.
